Hi Sharvet, you can get some great paints now that are perfect for outdoors. Make sure that it is one for metal and you will be good to go. Home Improvement stores have a huge variety of outdoor paints. Be sure to power spray the awning with water first to get off any debris or clean it with soap and water by hand.
Exterior latex paints work really well.

Clean it and prime it before you paint.
Hello Sharvet, hope this helps you out
Clean the surface of the aluminum awnings with soapy water or some mild detergent in warm water. Wash the awnings with the help of a scrub brush to prepare it for painting. Finally, rinse off the dirs and debris with a hose. If you spot some stains such as mold or mildew on the aluminum awnings, wash them with bleach in a spray bottle, then rinse with water. To smooth out some rough areas that you can feel to the touch, use a fine sandpaper, stopping when it feels shiny.
Before painting, stop to tape off the areas you don’t want paint. Taping also helps clean up when you’re done. Cover up nearby plants and grass with plastic to avoid endangering plant life.
A primer is optional, but you can use an oil-based primer for application to the awnings. This It helps to ensure proper attachment of paint when you apply it later. Spray an even coat of the primer onto the awnings. Allow 24 hours for the primer to cure before you spray paint.
Now is the time to paint! Hold your spray can paint about 10 to 14 inches from the awning. Spray the awning with a thin coat of paint in long, even strokes. Let the paint dry for the stipulated time before you apply another coat. The acrylic paint helps to preserve the shiny look of your aluminum awnings.
