The fabric is in great shape just faded. Is it even possible to paint sun fabric as I believe it is water proof. Any ideas as to type fabric paint to use? Thanks, Kat.

    Hi Katherine,

There are several articles online about paint a sun umbrella, however I didn't find one specifically for the sun fabric brand. Having said that, most sun umbrellas are also waterproof. Read the article below then decide if you want to try it. It's your choice. Wishing you the best.

Most umbrella fabric has a resin type coating on it to make it water resistant... You could try a spray on fabric paint... or a latex paint mixed with a fabric medium (online Google fabric paint) I would sponge it on or spray it if possible for the smoothest finish.... if you don't like the results.... summer is on it's way.... and outdoor umbrellas... will be on sale.

Deval Products-Outdoor spray Fabric Paint. This paint will make materials waterproof that have lost their waterproof ability from UV exposure. Perfect to use on umbrella material, wood, wicker, nylon, canvas and waterproof materials. This package contains 13.3oz spray can of fabric paint. Comes in a variety of colors. Made in USA. I know you can purchase this at JoAnn's and probably on Amazon as well.
