My porch floor is slippery! What can I paint over it to make it safer?

We recently painted our porch with porch paint and it looks nice but is very slippery due to the high humidity in our area (Florida). What should we paint over it to make it non-slip while also keeping the pretty color?

I've heard of a product you can add to paint to solve this problem. Perhaps ask about it at your paint store.

The council on aging in our area will build ramps for wheelchairs and other disabilities and put sand in the paint to make it non-skid.

Add 2 cups of sand to the first coat of paint you apply. Then add the topcoat to seal.
