A sprayer would be best, otherwise you will most likely need both the brush and roller to cover completely.
I would look into purchasing a power sprayer.
Spraying it is the easiest way to do it, but you could use a very long nap roller or large brush.
A very nappy roller meant for textured areas.
Once you paint your brick it is no longer maintenance free. Not my business just something to consider.
