Yes you can! They make spray paint in other metallics specifically for this type of project. You can buy them in any large home improvement store. Take a photo to them and ask for their suggestion on product..

Remove the lampshade, clean off the brass, spray paint them with Rustoleum 2X for metal, giving them two lights coats allowing each to dry in-between

I just cleaned mine with rubbing alcohol and gave it a coat of flat black spray paint (don't recall the brand, something cheap I'm sure) and a coat of clear sealer, it's held up well for years. I would be careful of the sheen you use, gloss spray can make things look cheap and shiny. I find it's better to use a flat paint and then a semi-gloss sealer on top.

Yes you can, I scuffed mine up a bit to help the paint adhere to it.. I used a metal spray paint and it worked wel. Then I went off on a spree and painted the fireplace set that had started to tarnish and even some dried weeds ( I have had so many comments on them 😄 ) you can paint nearly anything!

I had a floor lamp that had seen better days. IT was really heavy and I liked it. I wipes mine down well. Taped off the off/on. Removed shade. I then sprayed with gold spray paint. Turned out great.
