Can chalk paint be used on chenille fabric on furniture .

I have deep burgundy chenille sofa that needs a lighter color. Any ideas out there?

Hi GloCan you try on the underside of a cushion? I saw a post of someone doing velvet but it will change the look and feel of fabric. And also usually most are going with a darker color to hide the color below so do not know how many coats you would need to go lighterhttp://www.thepurplepaintedlady.com/tag/chenille/ -

If you do not want to try on cushion - maybe look for a similar fabric remnant and try on it first
