Can I reupholster a leather couch worn seat?

    are you wanting to replace with leather? or cloth. do the seat coushions come off?

    it sound like you are going to very carefully remove the covering from the seat of the couch. This will be your pattern for a replacement. Just to be safe, give yourself a good 2-3 inches extra material on all sides. Now, leather Talk with a tanner on how to cut for the seats...leather is not all the same thickness across a hide. I have seen mostly leather backs and clothe seats on a few pieces. Again, use what was removed as your pattern. Adding a few inches fir fudgeability.

    Yes. You can. There are some different choices to reach your end goal. Outright recover whole sofa, "inset" area that is worn out - remove seat area if possible isolation of that seat is possible. Leathers would need to match. Remove & reinstall whole new covering. Or. Make an inset for seat that would mirror size of a throw pillow to cover worn out area. Glue bond that piece to top of leather seat, or hand stitch using decorative stitch piece onto sofa & use whatever material desired for this piece. This application would need to be done for at least 2 of the seats if not all 3.
