Garage sales, thrift stores, Craigs list ( I don't like it). Local online sales sites.

  • Garage sales, yard sales, thrift shops, Goodwill. Check local newspaer listings. I am on "Nextdoor" a neighborhood email group and neighbors in the immediate area post all kinds of free stuff that is great for making over. I picked up a fantastic small wood dresser that was perfect for this type of project. I gave it to a friend to make over. There are a number of "apps" that have advertisements for items like this, but I am not an app person plus sometimes these people are a bit dishonest. If you go that route, know the neighborhood and take someone with you, even if you meet in a public place. Safety first!

Think you I will tried but do you know where I can find out about state sale

  • There are websites called yardsalefinder.com, etc, and you can find local sales that way. A lot of people sell antiques at yard sales for very little money.
