Are you talking about wood chairs or metal? Do you want to maintain a wood look if wood? And do they have cushions you'll want to refurbish as well?

Your furniture may be a good candidates for spray painting.
Spray paint come in multiple finishes including satin and matte which may be a nice sheen for your furniture painting project. The Rustoleum spray paints get my highest recommendation.
