You can try sanding it to get rid of the rust. You could always replace the top of the table, or paint it. Good luck!

Sand or grind off the rust, paint with Rustoleum. They have so any beautiful choices of paint. For the table, remove the top. You can replace it with wood from a sawmill that has been stained. Or you could have someone make you a top. Or even stain grade wood from Lowe's.
