Of course. You can mix whatever you wish. A room that is not all the same is much more interesting.
there are no rules in decorating...If it is what you and only you like go for it
If their legs are painted to complement the chairs.
I'd say you can mix if they are all the same 'something'........ like same color, or same era, like modern wood and modern metal, or vintage wood and vintage metal.
