I would suggest keeping your brush damp by spraying it with water between dipping into the paint. You can also sand between coats with 220 grit sand paper.

If you have a space to do it in. We use a spray gun, sand between coats and apply acrylic lacquer.

Try adding floetrol to your paint. It helps level the paint for a smooth, clean finish.
