What can I do for my old rocker?
I have recently acquired an antique rocking chair. It was stripped by dipping in a large vat years ago. The top of the rocker back has damage to the veneer. Should I use wood putty and then sand it? Then I wonder what should I use to give the wood some life and what will look good where I put the putty?

you could definitely paint the rocker and the putty would be covered. If you are thinking of staining, look for a stainable wood filler, that will blend in much better than plain wood putty. -
