What can I use a wall unit for besides a TV???

We had this huge cherry-brown colored wall unit that my fiance refused to get rid of, despite it matching nothing in our house! I decide it to try and give it more of a rustic/vintage look by painting it. I don't have any before pictures, but here it is... Any suggestions as to what I can do with it now? We have a family room for our TV (and another project I'm working on for the stand).
I painted the whole unit with Chaulk paint from Lowe's. This was my first time using Chaulk paint and now I'm in love! No primer needed!!!
After two coats of paints, I added a glaze to give it some personality :)
I finished it off with a couple coats of wax (how easy is this?) and I was happy!
This is the new look...
Now I just need some help on what I should do with it!!!

I took a Mexican rustic armoire and converted it into my kitchen pantry after placing some wood shelves. Would it fit in your bedroom as an armoire? The children's room? It looks very nice.

Thank You Griselda Layman. Unfortunately we have no spare space! This is where it must stay. I just don't know what to do with it!

It's kind of a difficult question to answer without knowing the size of your house, how many rooms you have, etc. I DO know one thing .... and that is, hold on to it as it can be used for many things. As one reader said, if your kitchen is large, it would make a fabulous pantry but also great for holding kids' toys, etc. (for the future!) assuming you want children. I wish I had the room for it! :)

I've found that the minute I let something go, then sure enough, a month later, circumstances change & you find yourself wishing you had the item. lol! If you find, in time, you absolutely have no use for it, do you have a covered patio or something similar? It would be great to store outdoor cushions, patio essentials like outdoor dinnerware, placemats, etc. OR use as a potting area. You could add some plants & nice pots for decorative interest.

Add some coat hooks and place this piece near your entryway as a place to stow mittens, put on boots, etc.

Depends on where you want to use it...you could mirror the back, or just lean a big mirror in that space, add a couple shelves to display more stuff, or even make it a focal point for a nice piece of art. Maybe after you get married, you could use it as a very nice display area for photos and mementos!

You could mount glass or wooden shelves all the way across the front and have shelving for books or nic nacs.

Does the back come off? If so, maybe you can use it in a bedroom for extra storage.

I like what you did already but think if you added two mirrors where the large flat surfaces are - that would look good.

I am most likely going to add some shelves and use it to display some books and family photos.

If the back comes off, you could fashion a head board with it. And if the base is the right height, you could use that at the foot of the bed for a bench. I'd tale out the glass first. :)

Thank You Kathy Haines Cramer! I love your idea! I am seriously considering doing this when I get to re-doing our bedroom.

or you could turn it into a wet bar...

Use the back for a headboard, the bottom would work for a coffee table, or if you have a spate bedroom, use the bottom at the end of a bed.

You can repurpose it into a bar
