Can a cork floor be whitewashed?

The cork floor is old and needs resurfacing. Can it be sanded back, whitewashed and then sealed with polyurethane?
Anything can be painted given that you invest the time to put multiple coats of protection on it. Cork will grind up into little pieces if you sand down to it. This floor has a top coat that can be roughed up to accept primer, paint and then a white wash process. Good luck.

Did you do your floors ? I a m having the same issue. I want to lightly sand them them white wash and then Poly them . Has anyone done this >
You could try it, then if it works fine! If not or only for a short time you can tile over it, only don't line up the tiles in the same grid!
