Can I paint the grates on my gas stove with high heat spray paint?

Kitchen range is not all that old (a little over a year) but the grates over the gas burners look worn and even rusty. They are cast iron - not porcelain coated. Wonder if painting them with high heat spray pain (I have seen it up to 2,000 degrees) used for car parts would be safe.

If the spray paint is heat safe, then you should be ok!

can you replace as it is under warranty? check with seller as it could result in an insurance claim issue if it causes a fire.
As the cooker is not that old, I would speak to the manufacturers or suppliers of the cooker first!
