Use a small roller
We have a metal front door. We repainted using exterior paint from lowe's. We used good quality brushes and did two coasts. Other than that, we didn't do anything special. Just make sure to use good quality paint.

Dayna....Cut in raised parts with a brush then use a roller. Good luck!
Use a small roller
Spray painting is the best option. I painted all my metal doors with a brush and there are no streaks on any of them. I think the secret is a good paint and make sure your brush is fully loaded.
Spray painting with a product made for metal, such as Rustoleum. We spray painted an aluminum screen door after prepping as directed in thinnish coats, we did two, worked like a charm with no streaks or drips. Two years later it still looks great!
