Valspar Smoky Quartz EE2055... if anyone has an idea where a person might find please advise

You should be able to bring that color code to a Valspar retailer and have them custom mix it for you. I had a similar issue recently with a paint that was a custom color. I brought it in and they used the coding on the old gallon to mix up a new one.

If you have a Habitat for Humanity store near you, they sell discontinued paints, any place that sells paint should be able put it on their shaker (thing) to make sure it all mixed together. MN Mom's suggestion would work too.

If you have a piece of molding with the color on it they can also custom color just with that.

Lowe's carries Valspar paints and they should be able to look it up on their computer/paint tint machine to mix the paint for you

I know. I was elaborating on your solution. I made a fruitless trip to Lowe's once, because they had told me they could scan the color of anything, and when I got there with a piece of decking, it turned out that they need something small and smooth to scan. I was trying to help them avoid going through that. Did my response not get posted?

I do not understand why Lowes said they could not help you especially if you have the paint chip. Do you have any other paint stores in your area?
