Help we just moved in. I am redoing everything in this house. I am at a loss for this bathroom. The shower is beige. I am wanting to paint everything including the cabinets and sink. But I did not know what to do.

Beige is nice. Goes with everything. Toilet and sink top need to match the tub, which I gather is a one-piece.

For design and decorating ideas Pinterest is the place to go.

Speaking of "go", that shower curtain is just fingernails on a chalk board. A bright color theme starting there and continuing through the bathroom in accessories would be great. That neutral tan on the walls would work

Before you tackle the suite. Just change the colour of the Walls, Curtains, Blind and Shower Curtain and Towels etc. You may find that's all that is needed for a while.......

    Hi Carla,

John has a good idea. Then if later you want to redo a specific item, you can focus on one of those and look up that item to read what others have done. I am including a link from other Hometalk members and how they have updated their bathrooms. Wishing you the best.

Painting the walls makes the largest change. Do that, then make other changes one at a time. Sometimes looking at the whole picture rather than breaking it down into parts can be overwhelming.

You just moved in, and already you are 'redoing everything in the whole house'? This is a huge challenge you have set for yourself. While it is admirable that you are eager, unless you are a superwoman, you are soon going to become very tired, run out of energy, money, or both, and will be stuck having to live in a house where no room is entirely finished. This can be very very stressful and depressing.

My advice at this point in time, is to leave everything that is functioning properly, even if it is not your first choice in color or design. Concentrate on fixing only those parts of the house that are not safe, at risk of being damaged, or not in good working order. You need to give yourself time to just live in the house first, and to learn step by step, in order to experience the most success in your diy projects.
