Rustoleum and Gianni both offer countertop restoration kits and many have used them with success
I personall have not, but if you go to your local hardware store there kits available to do exactly this.
The restoration kits consist of a single color or roll on acrylic based product that produces aesthetically mediocre results and do scratch and eventually lift from the countertop. I think a far better result is derived from filling, sanding, base coating and spraying the countertops with a stone fleck paint (Rustoleum and others) and top coating with a two part epoxy clear coat such as Environmental Technology Pour On High Gloss Finish. It is extremely durable, far more durable than the acrylic cover coats available in the kits. It is wonderful for bathroom countertops, water, soap, stain impenetrable; requires soap and water solutions, not chemical for cleaning; the only problem with using it in the kitchen is heat resistance, it cannot withstand hot pots placed directly on the surface. It takes 2-3 days to harden and will last indefinitely with good care. If you want to get real serious, n I recommend Countertop Epoxy FX Poxy for kitchen countertops- it will withstand hot surfaces and wears like iron; it is available by the gallon through Amazon, as are all of the products that I have recommended. Good luck!
Gianni has an awesome, easy to use kit- good luck :)
You are very welcome.
