Has anyone painted power strips? I have brown floors and white walls.

In the past, I've accidentally painted outlets on my walls when I forgot to tape them over. They ended up looking weird, and I never used that plug again because I wasn't sure if paint got inside the outlet itself. You probably can paint a power strip, but I'd be sure to 1) make sure it's completely unplugged first and 2) use a small paintbrush so you keep the paint out of the outlets.
I wouldn't advise painting anything with electrical openings, not to mention the heat emission from the power strip when in use. Sounds like a fire hazard waiting to happen. Amazon sells wood grain power strips in a variety of colors. I'm sure other stores carry them as well.
Ive painted the wire mold and the metal outlet box only.
Id suggest finding and purchasing the outlet strip color of your choice.

Thank you, the problem is brown ones look great on floor but not up the wall and white ones are very evident on the floor.
