How do you paint a bathroom beadboard that has a shine?

Dfm on Jan 18, 2016defiantly use a primer, i would also take a fine grit sand paper and give it a once over before the primer or use a commercial liquid sand paper de glossing agent.Helpful Reply

Merrill on Jan 18, 2016sand and use a primer that is good for oil or water based paints. The newer paints do not do well with liquid sand paper so it is all elbow grease good luck i have learned these all the hard way DIYHelpful Reply

118330 on Jan 19, 2016I agree with dfm - sand lightly to raise the grain then use a good primer like Zinsser. It gives the paint something to grab on to.Helpful Reply
