Make sure they are clean and dry. The best paint to use is chalk paint. I don't have pictures, but I painted the laminate end pieces on my cabinets. I lightly sanded them, then wiped off all the dust and used 2 layers of chalk paint. The paint hasn't chipped at all and I wipe them down several times a week.
