Sure! Just clean well and purchase the right formula paint. Paint early in the day for enough drying time.
You sure can, I would make sure to get paint specifically for metal though.
You bet! I've used house paint however should I feel the need again, I'll take the door off and use Rustoleum.
Clean it well, use a good primer, and then you can use any colour latex paint you like.
My hubby just painted our new screen door about a month ago with Rustoleum. Door came in white only and we needed brown. He lightly sanded it because it was so glossy and it turned out great. Now we have to figure out how to paint the door behind it, we have no idea what paint is on it other than it wasn't the right one for the metal door.
Yes, you can paint a metal door. I painted mine 5 years ago and still looks great! I used an exterior paint over primer, but they do make paint specifically for metal. Oil based is best.
