How to paint old inside door knobs?

It depends on what kind of knobs they are and what color you want to paint them. Generally speaking, I would take them off and sand them a little with a very fine sandpaper. Then spray paint them with enamel spray paint. Finally put a couple of coats of clear acrylic over them. -

They make special metallic spray paints now just for this type of project. Your bigger home improvement stores like Lowes and Home Depot should have several types that will work well. -
