Plastic ceiling tiles that will be put in a bathroom. Will high humidity peel the paint? What is the best paint to use?
Use painters tape to seal any openings and areas you don't want painted. Use spray paint made for metal. Removing the fan, paddles, paddle brackets would make painting easier.

Well if you're going to paint the blades, I suggest you turn the speed down to the lowest setting and hold your paint brush high over your head.

I couldn't manage to take the fan down so I painted it insitu. Wiped the blades and motor with sugar soap to remove all the grease and dust. Gave the metal blades a light sand and wiped again. Using a brush I painted 2 light coats of an oil based metal primer. Followed this up with 2 coats of a water based low gloss interior paint. Looks wonderful and I have plans to slowly do the rest of the fans. Unfortunately we have high raked ceilings so it gets a bit hot up on the ladder. Learnt to paint before midday before the roof gets too hot (paint dries too quickly on brush).
