Can I use nail polish to touch up the small chips on my dinner plates

I'd certainly give it a try. Just wash carefully by hand afterward. -

I've seen it done but depending on frequency of use and dishwashing it can dissipate quickly. It is probably toxic, however probably minutely so if quantity if less than a few centimeters tin diameter. -
