  • They sell porcelain patch kits at home improvement and hardware stores.

Time for a new sink. When porcelain crakes it could stay cracked for a very long time, or split in two any second. I write to you from experience. Get a new one.

I used porcelain (white) spray paint, a quick, cheap fix.

First, I sanded the spot. The spray dries quickly.

It is made for porcelain and you'll forget where the cracks were.

Get a new one. The porcelain patch is fine for small chips but this crack is near your drain and weakens the structure. If you don't install sinks yourself, your home center will do it for a small fee (or invite a friend who is knowledgeable and feed them dinner in return). Good luck! :-)

I share your pain. I have the same crack in my 9 mo. old sink. I don't want to go through this again so will be going back to metal (?) sink. It was nice while it lasted.

I have a double stainless steel sink and other than a couple of small dents, is still doing fine after over 40 years. Ceramic is fine if you can afford to replace them.

That's the word I couldnt recall when I was writing, stainless steel, not metal haha.

I agree! Stainless steel is the way to go for me.

Ace Hardware, but any home improvement store will have it.

Just get a new one. Even repaired it will eventually show up again& be worse! Maybe u can find a decent one at a flea market or habitat for humanity. New ones aren't crazy but, quality isn't there anymore. Best of luck.

Thank you for the advice. After trying the repair kit with dissappointing results. I might look for the paint just to see what happens. But it's probably time to replace it.

Beware cheap materials. Note warnings that crack could expand. Price all sinks and ask why cost difference. Maybe good temp fix did not work.
