Scratches on a “smudge proof” stainless steel appliance

Question

Does anyone know how to treat small scratches on a “smudge proof” stainless steel appliance so that they aren’t as noticeable? The appliance does have a coating, hence “smudge proof”. They are somewhat difficult to see on the photos but they are located towards the left side of the micro. Because of their location they are right at face level. I haven’t found anything online. :-( Please help! :-)

Did you try 'Dawn'? When you use vinegar, make sure to neutralize with baking soda. and don't use vinegar on plastic.

Not possible. It’s just a clear coat over low grade metal. Dab a bit of clear nail polish over the scratch so it won’t rust and don't rub too hard there in the future.

Get it wrapped from one if those places that does vehicle wraps. Or take it off the hinge and have it powder coated. Or buy a new door. Sorry.

I've read through a lot of posts on resolutions for the stainless steel smudges. My recommendation is before you try some of those ideas to always test a small area. Also check Lowe's, Home Depot, or contact company's that specialize in selling stainless steel appliances. After all, if they're selling the product their keeping it showroom ready so ask what they use. I would hate for anyine to try a home remedy and it cost you more down the line if it doesn't work...best wishes!
