I'm sorry but I don't see a hole! All I see is some area at the shower step that needs a bit of caulk.
Hi there, here is a good video on how to patch holes.

Hi Vanessa,
I agree with Robyn. Squeeze out white, paintable caulk and use an unimportant, plastic card, similar to a credit card, to smooth it with. Paint when it's dry...if needed.
Wood putty
I would use either drywall compound or spackle or a paintable caulk to fill the area and level it out. Spackle will need to be sanded smooth while the caulk can be smoothed out with a wet finger. Drywall spackle will have to be primed before putting your final touch up coat.
I don't see a hole either.
Not usre how big your hole is but the above are correct fixes if the hole is small.
If it is larger you may need to use a piece of wallboard as a filler and you can find the process explained in many different videos on YouTube.
It is best to use a filler piece if possible and Home Depot or Lowe's sell smaller pieces instead of the 4'X8' panels.
Really depends on size of hole-you can patch holes with many things toothpaste, spackling, wood putty, plaster, cut out piece of drywall & replace drywall
