How do I straighten out an uneven ceiling?

My ceilings are uneven and saging a bit in between the batons I suspect that the builders did not put in enough batons now the ceiling is wavy . I want to correct this if possible without puling the whole ceiling down and redoing it

If you can access it from the attic, you can add more support beams. Then screw the existing sheetrock to the new supports. You will probably have to refinish the entire ceiling.
I am in that situation in my dining room. We realized it when a tree fell and hit the garage. Now we have cracks all over the ceiling so it will be a total re-do for us. :(

It sounds like your insulation may be getting heavy for the spaces and is forcing your drywall down. Consider strapping the ceiling and putting another layer of drywall over it to make it sturdier.
Hi, Fix from above by putting in more beams and then fix your ceiling back to them. you will have to fill the fixing points on ceiling and re- finish.
Honestly the easiest fix is a drop ceiling. Build a new ceiling frame with supports 16inches on center and hang the new ceiling to it. You lose about 4 inches if you keep it tight to the original ceiling. It doesn’t risk any electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems. You can be done in a week and never worry about it again.
