Where are you located? I would check your local building code office as they will have the best local info for your climate. You can insulate from the inside. See if these links help.http://homeguides.sfgate.com/increase-rvalue-concrete-block-wall-54431.htmlhttps://www.thisoldhouse.com/how-to/insulation-existing-concrete-block-wallhttp://www.diychatroom.com/f19/options-insulating-concrete-block-house-63935/Helpful Reply -

Hello! You can add new siding, but it may not be enough to insulate your home. It depends on your climate and where your wind is coming from the most. My son-in-law put siding with Tyvex, but it did not do the job. He had to insulate the interior bedroom walls to get the warmer results he was looking for. Good luck with whateve you decide to do.Helpful Reply -

Insulate the inside and crawlspace. Paint the outside of the block. Tyvek, insulation and siding is generally for wood frame exteriors and they still need interior insulation.Helpful Reply -

The easiest way is to Tyvek and then put the blue foam board and then the siding. There is not much R value in siding since it has to breathe. Insulating on the outside will affect your windows and doors. Talk to a professional before you start.Helpful Reply -
