Quite often the various manufacturers have online manuals/ PDFs with troubleshooting and frequently asked question sections. That would be the first place that I would suggest to look.Helpful Reply -

Look on YouTube - type in your brand and model and there will probably be a few videos on how to fix the problem. Once my remote would not work and another time the door would open but not close - both problems were fixed following YouTube instructions.Helpful Reply -

Have you checked all the tracks, wheels, and any other moving parts to make sure they are clean, not blocked, or that dirt, leaves, or any other gunk is not preventing the door from functioning properly?This might seem too simple, but it could prevent an expensive (and un-needed) service call.Helpful Reply -

Yes, replace the battery in the remote first. Can be so simple. If you have more than one remote are the others working. If the battery is good the next thing would be the remote needs to be reprogrammed. If you have a manual it will tell you how to do this. Or you can Google the model number of the opener and find a manual for it.Helpful Reply -
