My intercom has a buzzing noise- help!

I had a phone 40 years ago that would ring all by itself. It turned out that a spider had built a nest in there and everytime she would move, it would make theconnection and cause the phone to ring. We cleaned it up and everything was ok. This was a wall phone and we had to take it off the wall to get to the nest.Helpful Reply -

Usually the humming sound comes from a loose connection especially if it is a hand held intercom, move the wire around to see if the humming sound comes and goes that will help figuring out if the wire is bad or not.Helpful Reply -

My mom and dad had a whole house intercom years ago, occasionally electronics would cause it to have interference.Helpful Reply -
