How do I repair a recliner that is peeling?
the recliner is faux leather type material, it has not tares just peeling on the arm areas, I don't want to reupholster if there are other options.
You could flip the recliner over and remove the staples. Add quilting padding then reattach the original fabric with a staple gun. (That's if you can't easily remove the footrest.) Just a thought. Good luck.
Did you get it restuffed? I have a reclining couch that is great but the footrests are flat and I’d like to re pad them.
If you can get underneath, you should be able to pull staples, push some stuffing in, and then re-staple.
Release the upholstery cover and insert fresh Foam annd wadding etc. and recover, or attach a Bed Pillow using velcro and make a cover for it or use pillowcase and ribbon ties to hold it in place.
