Mirrors get re-silvered. You can take to a glass and mirror shop to have done professionally, or there are a variety of do it yourself products available at craft, hardware and home improvement stores.Helpful Reply -

Resilvering? It's really not something that most homeowners can do without special materials. Check out the information here: http://angelgilding.com/re-silvering-old-mirrorsHelpful Reply -

There is a difference between reglazing and resilvering, resilvering speaks for itself, you put new silver on the back of the glass, reglazing is when the mirror is set in a frame of some sort and then a special putty is used to hold it in place, either one takes years of practice to get it right so you should go to a glass shop and talk to them.Helpful Reply -
