How to fill a large gap in a plywood to leg joint (coffee table)?

I think I would use a timber trim and Mitre the corners .........
If you still had the plug that you cut out of it you could cut a piece of it but if you don't, I would use a wood wedge, drive it down till it's tight and cut it off with a chisel
