Repairing one of the arms on a spider arc floor lamp which has snapped

I was swinging one of the arms over to reposition it and it snapped where it joins the base of the light. It looks like there was another tube inside of the arc in which the wires are. I can see the wires now and it is really heavy once the globe and bulb are in. Soldering, gluing, any ideas anyone??? The lamp is black with four arcs and a marble base. I don't just want to pitch it.
