Cane wrapping can be bought at any lumberyard. Used vinyl OR if you can hide where it's breaking by tightening it up, heavy duty glue and tacks then paint away!!!!
Usually it’s the bottom part of the legs that unravel. If that’s the case, glue then tightly wrap sisal twine around all the legs for a new look.

Buy more cane /rattan of the same kind from a craft store. Soak it for at least 24hrs. Weave it back in and out as design requires. You may find you would do well to read a book on the process. They can be found in Library or online or book store...........PS You will also need some basic tools.
