I have found that superglue with saw dust or I used some acrylic nail powder in the seat reverse side were the leg/dowel insert —-locks legs in tight. Theres usually cracks there that need tightening. I had thrift store woobly wooden chairs that my husband shook his head said could never be fixed/ used.

Its so easy I hope it will work for you.

I did this same trick again recently on this $2.50 antique mahogany piano stool that when purchased had the legs had been wired together for support— I assume by appearance some time ago.

    Hope you find your solution!

If wood - Re-Glue the Joints. If Metal - re-Solder the joints. If still wobbly - check the legs are all the same length.
