How can I repair worn legs of patio furniture?

The bottoms of the legs are worn out, some more than others.

Still has insert.

This is how they're supposed to be.

PVC "ends" by unwrapping the "rope", inserting the PVC ends over the leg, then glue the wrapped fiber/rope to the PVC pipe.
Thx. I'll try it.
There are several different styles of leg/floor protectors available for purchase.
I would suggest to try to get ones that fit best fit the size of the legs on your patio furniture. Remove the damaged rope going around at the bottom of each leg a little bit at a time until you can fit the leg into the protector.
Lowes has leg covers for outside use.
