What is the best method to fix an old tub?

The tub is over 60 years old and shows wear, especially around the drain. It is black and rusted.

Have it professionally reglazed. That is my vote. I have had it done a number of times and if properly cared, for will last another 25 - 50 years. Most people use harsh chemicals which is what dulls the surface. -

We had our tub “professionally” repainted. NEVER AGAIN !!! We can’t use it now. -

sand down the area square it off then use some tub aproxy let it dry 24 to 48 hours solution is done -

Hi Laura, you can get bathtub's resurfaced. you can allso buy kits, from Hardwear store's, and do it yourself. I would get advice first, from a bath specilist, on what would be your best opption. Perhaps, take a photo, on your mobile, that way, he can see, exactley what condition, the bath is in, and be in a bettr position to advise you. Hoe this helps. Good luck, and Happy New year.
