What product can I use on bath tub that won't get moldy over time.

I used a so called special bathtub silicone that's guaranteed not to get moldy but over time it always does. Don't know what to use anymore. Very tedious pulling out old silicone and installing new. And is there something I can apply to the silicone after to water proof it some more ?

You can buy a flexible strip sealer that is self adhesive. A bit like crown moulding to bridge gap between bath and wall.................

Part of the problem may be that there are seeds of the mold left behind and it grows through the new stuff. Another problem may be that there is not enough air circulation in the bathroom. We had to place a fan in one of our baths, and leave the doors open for the first few hours of every morning, letting it fully circulate.

I remove the old silicone and use hydrogen peroxide, comet and brush. Rinse with hot water and let it dry. I spray it again with hydrogen peroxide until it clean it well. Then I use clorox and brush it again, rinse with hot water, let dry and then put on new silicone. I do this every six months. In between months I clean my shower with hydrogen peroxide and comet.
Another problem, if you are either opening a window for ventilation or an exhaust fan each bath, may be that after removing the old and thoroughly cleaning you are not allowing the area to completely dry. After sealing, you should let the shower dry the exact time that is recommended on the sealer (I always add 2 more hours to that recommendation).
