  • What does your building inspector recommend? How newly poured is this slab? What was the temperature when pouring? What after care was provided?

    • Ok mid 70's is good. You are supposed to water down new concrete at least twice a day for the first week or so to prevent cracks during the curing process. Curing takes about 30 days or so, you are well past that point. This might not have been done, but chances are, it can be repaired. Since you are building from the ground up, if it were me, I would not allow any construction until I have had the local building inspectors come have a look and sign off on it. Permits had to be pulled for this build, give them a call on Tuesday and see what you find out. If you want my phone number, I am happy to provide it, let me know!

Redo it now. Much easier now than later. Also having them repair their mistake is much easier on the wallet.

I would also want to be sure that the slab is done correctly since a weakness in it is a weakness in your structure.

That is a minor crack, so it can be fixed by u

with Concrete from Lowe’s or Home Depot !! Keep an eye on it if it gets any bigger; then u might want assistance from a professional!!!

Have them redo it or patch it. They should be responsible for it.

Agree with William, if you start trying to repair it, it will void the company's responsibility.
