Steel sheets
In my area, you have to do a complete tear off off the shingles, back to the decking, if you have 3 layers of shingles in place. It’s a weight load issue. Steel sheets are a bit costly, noise makers esp. in a hail storm. A while back, my mom was looking at replacing her roof. She wanted to know if it would ad value to her house......the verdict was “No”
