How do I stop condensation on the inside of a metal porch roof?

I have a screen room with a metal roof which forms condesation on the underneath side. Is there some sort of sealer or paint that could be applied on the inside and/or outside to stop this?

  • Nope. What is the weather like? What could be causing the condensation? Since it is a porch, I would assume there is adequate ventilation?

I don't think it's a problem unless it's dripping on you or down to walls/studs holding screens. just get cheap sponge mop and dip in some white vinegar and wipe it off, should help with any mold or algae starting. Just use mop to wipe it dry in mornings.

If mold ever does start use some bleach water instead of the vinegar solution. With the moisture on ceilings in hot/humid months you could use big strong fan and it'll be like swamp cooler.

See if 'damp rid" is still available. Kamarts use to carry it but all the Kmarts are gone now. Read directions and follow. Cannot remember if this should be kept away from dogs and cats.

Thank you! (Yes, damp rid still available at Walmart)! I put some in my shed.
