What can I do with cracked sidewalk and patio?

I don't have the money to have all my old concrete sidewalk and patio broken up, removed and re poured. Sections were done at different times and some are even different types of concrete. There are cracked areas too. I'm just looking for a short term fix to make it look more uniform. I've heard of cracked patios with thyme or moss in between. But what I found are instructions to start from scratch with stepping stones and sand and dirt etc. Can I do this idea without removing everything? Are there any ideas for how to make the different colors look the same? Paint? Cleaning? Stencils? Thanks for your help!

You can buy liquid concrete in a bottle at Lowes or HD. Just make sure the cracks are cleaned out good and squirt the concrete in them and smooth over with a trowel or you can use a metal putty knife. Put the excess in another crack and repeat until they are all filled.
Why not put an edge around the path (doesn't have to cost a lot) and cover with Pea Shingle.........
This is what I've always bought at Home Depot for cracks, but you may be talking about more and larger repairs. If so, get a big of dry Quikrete and mix it as you need it. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Quikrete-1-Qt-Concrete-Crack-Seal-864000/100318507
