What's the best way to screed over paving slabs to get a smooth surfac

We've built on a small sunroom extension to our bungalow The "floor" is the existing paving slabs which are not too even What would be the best and cheapest way of levelling It enough to cover with carpeting? Doesn't need to be perfect but practical!

Self leveling concrete available at most home improvement stores -

I doubt plywood will level the floor. Any irregularities will transmit to the plywood. Can't be fastened to the pavers. I go with the self leveling cement compound. -

Self leveling concrete. It should also help stop the moisture coming up thru the pavers and possibly making carpet damp. But you would still want a vapor barrier of some kind before the carpet
