How do I attach a handle to shower door?
We have a frameless glass shower door that we put a couple handles in the wrong place. We used dental floss to remove the handles from the glass but now need to reattach them. Kohler will only sell us a set of 4 handles when all we need is the adhesive to attach the two handles that we removed. Any suggestions on an adhesive that will work? The handles are on the inside of the shower so they will be exposed to water.

Hi Jeannette,
I'd try clear silicone glue. Just check the package to make sure that it's made to use on glass. Wishing you the best.
Call a plumbing store, they should be able to tell you.
Hi Jeanette, you can try this

I was looking at some Loctite products and some others which became a little overwhelming for me. I’ll probably revisit a few sites tomorrow. I didn’t think about calling a plumbing company which I’ll definitely do in the morning as well.
Thank you for your suggestions.
Hi Jeanette,
I would say the same - use clear Silicone, but you would need to hold it in place so it doesn't slip whilst drying. Or you could always ask the Glass shop what they would use?
Maybe they will help you or a Auto Windscreen Repair Co. might be able to help you or even do the job for you! Hope you get sorted soon......
Silicone wil give and not hold. Use a two part epoxy. Tape the handles while the epoxy dries.
Jeanette - how did you use the dental floss to remove the handles? i did the same thing, and I'm trying to remove the metal flush handles from my Kohler frameless shower doors.
I too would like to know how to use the dental floss to remove the handles. I put them in the wrong place also.
