How do I quickly unclog a garbage disposal?

    Un plug it and get stuff out with your hand make sure to check inside the cavity along the outside edge around bottom that is where ground up matter goes out. if something is stuck in this crack need to get it loose(really thin knife blade works well) then replug and try to see if it starts if not use reset button on bottom to get it restarted if it's still messed up come back on here. Also disposal won't work well unless both sides of drains are open no plug in drain,standing water dishes covering etc. this is if you have 2 drain openings

    Most disposals have an Allen wrench fitting in the bottom. And you were wondering why you had that tool. Insert the tool in the bottom and rotate blades in reverse direction to unstick the wedged item. Never put bones in the disposal. Are you missing a spoon? :-)
